In many ways potty training for girls is similar to potty training for boys although there are a few slight differences.
For both sexes, you can only potty train a child when they are ready. A child needs to have developed the ability to communicate and the physical muscular development in the rectum and bladder.

Is the potty training process the same for boys as well as girls? and if not what are the differences? How can you go about potty training your girls? The main difference is that boys can be a little bit messy than girls when urinating and for girls the main concern is hygiene so the sooner you start girls on proper toilet hygiene habit the better.
Before you start your girl on potty training make sure that she is ready physically as well as emotionally that way the girl won't feel as if she is pressurized to using the potty. Indications that your girl is ready to start potty training are the facial expression or signs of discomfort when she wants to go potty, staying dry for a period of about two hours as well as indications of wanting to go the toilet. Apart from these make sure that there are no other stress factors in the family like moving, expecting or having a new baby and a major illness or death in the family.
When you see that your girl is ready to start potty training then you need to decide on words that you are going to use comfortably in public, after that buy a potty chair for your girl. Get your girl used to the potty chair by having her sit on it at regular intervals for about five minutes, when she gets used to it suggest that you take it with you to the bathroom when she indicates that she would like to go. Try to praise your girl when there is success and be encouraging.
Girls are generally not difficult to potty train as it is usually the boys who are messy when urinating. The main issue with girls is hygiene it's good to start early teaching girls such hygiene, first of all make them aware of the fact just because the toilet seat is dry doesn't mean that there are no germs have them wipe the seat first before sitting on it. After having used the potty teach them to wipe themselves from front to back to avoid infections and tell them to go pat pat rather than to wipe hard as they may tear themselves. Also as much as possible try to use the softest tissue you can afford which is gentle on the skin.

interest. Her sister was born when she was 27 months old, and I didn't feel that
either immediately before or after the birth was a good time for either of us to
start potty training. Time dragged on, until I started finding Read the rest of this entry
